LaTia Smith Middleton is the President and CEO of Developing Minds Quality Infant and Child Care Center, Inc.  LaTia has worked in the child care industry since the age of 15 and for over 30 years.  Ms. Smith Middleton has three beautiful children, and an adorable granddaughter  a dedicated Mother (Victoria Harris) and great supporting family and friends.
 

Developing Minds was established on September 30, 1996. The day the center opened, only  two children were enrolled and four staff members were employed.  In 2001, Developing Minds had to relocate to a larger center that allowed it to care for infants and toddlers.  The center grew from 2 children in 1996 to 144 children in 2002 and then to 176 children and 36 staff members in 2014  The center continues to prosper and offer impeccable service. 

 

Developing Minds have over 75 years of experience among its staff.  It is the philosophy of the Developing Minds Quality Infant and Child Care Center that early childhood education can be a time of fun, warmth, security, exploration and discovery.  The daily program for the center provides an atmosphere that encourages all areas of development: physical, mental, emotional, social and creative.
